Posting and publication rules

Effective September 22, 2026 · Last updated September 27, 2026

What you can post

You do not need an account to post, but please provide a contact email. A display name is optional; if you leave it blank, we assign a random one. Only authenticated site administrators can see your email. Review only shared housing or homestays where you actually lived, and describe when you stayed and what you experienced yourself. Rent, deposit returns, cleanliness, privacy and similar answers describe conditions at the time of your stay.

  • Events and outcomes you observed yourself
  • Housing conditions during your stay
  • Specific, measured descriptions of both good and difficult experiences

What you cannot post

This is a place for first-hand experiences of living in a home. Personal attacks and claims you have not verified yourself are not allowed.

  • Someone else’s real name, photo, phone number, email, workplace, family details or licence plate; exact street or unit numbers; or another home’s address in free text
  • Unsupported accusations about crime, motives or character, including labels such as “scammer” or “criminal”
  • Rumours, other people’s experiences, fabricated accounts or reviews of a different home
  • Discrimination, threats, harassment, retaliation, recruitment, advertising or links that direct readers elsewhere

From submission to publication

Reviews and replies from property representatives appear immediately if their text and display name pass automated checks. If prohibited terms, abuse, threats, discrimination, sexual content, personal information or promotional links are detected, you will be asked to revise the text and it will not be accepted.

After publication, we accept reports and disputes. We review the content before deciding whether to keep it visible, hide it temporarily or remove it.

What the checks cannot guarantee

A display name or email does not prove someone’s identity or stay. Automated checks cannot establish that every claim is true or that the home is unchanged today. They may miss context-dependent problems or names. Confirm contract terms, current rent and availability directly with the other party.

How to write clearly

Write what you observed and when: for example, “I had not received a refund 30 days after moving out” instead of “They stole my deposit.” Enter the address only in the designated field, not in your comment.

Reports and disputes after publication

Each review has “Report” and “Dispute” links. If it contains personal information, refers to the wrong home or raises a specific factual concern, tell us which part and why. A review is not removed automatically just because someone objects.
